Harry Maguire Leads Manchester United To Win Over West Ham

Harry Maguire made his first Premier League start since August as he captained Manchester United to a 1-0 win over West Ham at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The center-back had lost his place in Erik ten Hag's EPL side after starting in defeats to Brighton and Brentford at the start of the season.

But injuries to Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof forced Ten Hag to bring back Maguire, who did not let him down.

Marcus Rashford scored United's winner, heading home his 100th club goal from a Christian Eriksen cross in the 38th minute.

But United's real MVPs were at the back.

Maguire and Lisandro Martinez stayed strong in the heart of United's defense and goalkeeper David De Gea made four saves when called upon.

Diogo Dalot also stood out at right-back, making four tackles and three interceptions, as well as four key passes and five crosses at the other end.

Maguire blocked three shots and completed more clearances, eight, than any other player on the pitch.
